Little Nest, Blackfen

Little Nest is a specialist provision for children with a variety of additional and complex needs. We provide lower ratios using caring, passionate, and professional staff and we pride ourselves on supporting each child and their individual needs.

We ensure our learning environment is calm and nurturing by using soft lighting, calming music and keeping rooms minimalistic to best support the children’s learning and development. Our environment is adapted to create a unique and safe experience for the children.

Little Nest is divided into three classrooms, each class specialising in a particular area of need. Each room has access to an amazing sensory room which helps children to be able to self-regulate. The large soft play area supports children’s physical and sensory needs, allowing them to take part in daily sensory circuits and physio programmes.

Parents have given outstanding feedback in relation to our parent partnerships. This is something we take great delight in as this is essential to a child’s growth and development. We work alongside outside multi agency teams such as Speech and Language, Educational Psychologists, Occupational therapists as well as many more to create a holistic approach and ensure each child receives the highest quality of personalised intervention.

LITTLE NEST IS A TERM TERM & FULL TIME SITE

Rabbits: 2 years old (with social communication or speech and language delays)
Hedgehogs: 3-5 year olds (with social communication, speech and language delays or Autism diagnosis)
Owls: 2-5 year olds (with additional needs)
Squirrels: 2-5 year olds (with complex additional needs)

SESSION TIMES

Early Bird: 8am-8.30am
Morning Session: 8am-1pm
Afternoon Session: 1pm-4pm
Full Day: 8.30am-4pm (with a choice of early bird session for extra £5)
(We offer booking patterns on a term time only or all year basis. All day sessions are available for children once settled and we are able to meet their needs)

Enrichment Programme

Includes sensory play, soft play, AW Football Coaching, Sing and Sign and Baby Ballet.

Enchanted Wood Preschool is now trading as a Limited company ‘Enchanted Wood Preschool Ltd’ which was established in April 2024. This means our previous Ofsted inspections under our sole trader status will be found under our old registration numbers. There has been no changes to the settings, so Ofsted gradings are linked under our new registration.
